Althea Korea Review!

There is always an excitement feeling whenever you receive items that you have ordered online (and have been waiting patiently for it) It's reminds me of Christmas morning as a kid LOL!

Today I will be reviewing about my experience in purchasing from this new Korean-Malaysian beauty site "Althea Korea". This site just launched in the past July 2015, so it is a relatively brand new company. This site is amazing because it carries a wide range of beauty products from Korea that has a spectacular price tag (as most of us beauty addicts would know that getting Korean products in Malaysia can be difficult and very pricey!). Most of the products are offered at a discounted price; plus sometimes they will have daily deals of products that can be discounted up to 60%. In total, I ordered 7 items for only RM190 + Free Shipping!!!

I ordered on Tuesday (11/08/15) and expected my package to arrived about Friday(21/08/15) since it is mentioned on the site that it will take between 10 to 15 days for shipping; However, to my surprise it only took 5 days for it to arrive on my doorsteps!HOORAY!

The package comes in a hot pink wrapping which is the same color as the box in it. The box is bubble wrapped as well as all the products in it were also individually bubble wrapped. I am highly impressed with the effort they put in the wrapping to ensure that the products will not be damaged; But the best part of all, they included 2 Innisfree facial masks as free gifts!

At this point, I'm speechless because this company has checked all the boxes to being the perfect online store to shop; I'm definitely looking forward for the expansion of the product range in the site and also to repurchase.

List of products I purchased:

Tony Moly New Delight Tony Tint
Peripera Tint Water
Clio Tinted Tattoo Kill Brow
Skinfood Egg White Pore Mask
Nature Republic Fresh Green Tea 70 Emulsion
Elizavecca Carbonated Bubbly Clay Mask
Tony Moly Panda Dream White Hand Cream

COVO Matte Magic Lipstick

During the recent year end sale I have decide to try out some of COVO's  Matte Magic Lipstick as they were having a promotion of 50% off for the lipsticks. COVO is a relatively new local brand here in Malaysia and is quickly becoming one of my favourites because of the great quality andwide range of selection of products at an affordable price just like their brand message"Luxe for Less". So the 2 color i chose was Icy Coral and Warm Toffee. What I love about these lippies is not only they have great formula but also they have sleek packaging which includes as small mirror in the lipstick tube!

Texture and Consistency: These lipsticks were creamy and not too drying on the lips when applied it had a matte finish which is my favourite

Staying Power: They lasted for about 4-5 hours during the day. I wore it during the whole day of college which includes eating and drinking and it does require to touch up only 1 time during the full 8hrs period.

Fragrance : These lipsticks has a vanilla scent to it similar to the MAC lippies

Price : RM45.00
Availability: COVO counters at Sunway Pyramid, AEON Bukit Tinggi, One Utama, 101 Mall, NU Sentral, Berjaya Times Square & more

The following are the pictures  of the 2 lipsticks:

1)ICY CORAL - is described as a fun pinky coral color which will definitely brighten your appearance

2)WARM TOFFEE- is described as a warm brick red shade with a hint of orange

Review: IN2IT Colour Stix Lip Color

First Review of 2015!
I went to Watsons at Sunway Pyramid with one purpose in mind which is to get 1 lipliner from Essence and thats it...but not surprising as a makeup addict as I'm, I end up buying 6 lip products...lol. While browsing through the makeup aisle I stumbled across the newly launched product called Colour Stix Lip Color  by IN2IT . I'm not an avid  buyer of IN2IT brand frankly I have only used their liquid liner before. These product caught my eye immediately as it look similar to the Revlon Just Kissable Balm Stain( which i LOVE) and the price was amazing at only RM 10.90 ( currently having promotion original price is RM12.90). There are 5 shades total, a nude, bright orange, hot pink, mauvey-plum, and a rose-mauve color (I'm sorry I do not remember their exact names) I bought matte plum and matte pink as i was attracted to them the most.

These new product is described as being "velvety soft, long lasting and luminous matte finish" .  When I first swatch it I knew immediately that it was going to come home with me... This is because they were highly pigmented and super creamy plus they have a matte finish ( which is my favourite type of lip product). This products is somewhat like if NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream and Revlon Just Kissable Balm Stain has a baby...haha because they are very creamy and pigmented and dries to a matte finish; and they are easy to apply as they are in a crayon form just like the Revlon ones. I already know that I will be definitely use these products in my daily life as I 'm completely amazed by the quality and the prices of them!

Texture and consistency: Once applied on the lips the texture of these products are quite lightweight and smooth, the finish is not 100% matte so its good because if you have dry and crack lip it will not be so visible.

Staying Power: The lasting power of these was about 4-5 hours which is relatively good, but I think that the brighter colors will have a longer staying power.

Fragrance and flavour: These lipsticks did not have any scent at all which is a bonus!
Here below are pictures of the 2 lip color that I purchased:
1) Matte Plum- This color appears to be a mauvey-plum color which can be a dupe for the "Kylie Jenner Lip Color Trend"

2) Matte Rose- This color is described as a dusty rose cool-toned, muted, medium-dark pink and It's also like those   My Lips But Better (MLBB) kind also color. It will be perfect for everyday wear.

Here are the swatches on m wrist (Left : Matte Plum, Right : Matte Rose)

Price: RM12.90 (currently got promotion RM10.90 till January 26, 2015)
Availabilty: Exclusive to Watsons only
Limited Edition While Stocks Last

Phuket Adventure!

Phuket Paradise December 2014!
Yes I know that I'm really late in posting this post as its already the new year of 2015!However, the past few weeks Ive been feeling down and not in the greatest mood; but finally I''ve got out of that rut state and now i just want to share my experience in Phuket that we went from 19 to 22 December :)

This trip was planned in a really short notice because my friends and I were constantly indecisive on where should we go for a holiday after our final exam as we are going to graduate very soon. So one night we all just went on AirAsia and started to browse for holiday destinations at an affordable cost, we knew we wanted to go Thailand but we're not sure which part of the country. Finally after browsing through a few ,we chose with Phuket as I personally wanted to experience the nightlife of Bangla Road and to see whether it lives up to its name from the stories i hear from my friends.
After going through the dreaded FINALS WEEK .....Woohoooo!!! It's Phuket Adventure Time!

On the firstt day we landed in Phuket around 11am, we left our luggage in the hotel (Garden Phuket Hotel) and we started our adventure by walking to the famous Patong beach... its was so crowded by I kinda expected it as it was in the holiday period but I'm not complaining as there were quite a number hot guys to look at (mostly westerners which is a plus)! hehehe. We felt totally out of place as we're not appropriately dress for the beach lol.

Then, we went to have to lunch at one of the restaurants by the street near our hotel as we were starving by that time so we just simply chose a restaurant that was pretty much empty and not the ones which are packed. But to our dismay there's a reason why you should always to go packed restaurants instead of quite ones. This is because the restaurant that we went to was horrible, I saw a rat running across our table! GROSSS!
and the food were tasteless. We ordered pineapple rice, pad thai and tom yum soup.... the tom yum soup was the worst tom you i have ever tasted in my life it was literally just water with sum seafood in it , it was completely tasteless and cold. Plus the pad thai was pathetic the noodles were cold and soggy!
Our first Thai food experience was a huge disappointment but luckily it was only a one time thing as we learnt our lesson so we asked around a few locals about place to eat and many of them suggested  this place called NO.6 (we ate at this place majority of our time in Phuket as the food was amazing and very good prices however you have to queue at least 20minutes there as there was a long line constantly in that restaurant)

Bangla Road only open during the night from about 9pm onwards till 3 am so after lunch we all just walk around at Jungceylon Mall which is a new tourist shopping spot. I was so happy to finally found Boots Pharmacy as they do not have this store here in Malaysia and i was there on a mission to buy some Soap and Glory goods as it was really cheap there compare from the prices you have to pay in Malaysia. Later we went to planned for our day tours which include of Phi Phi Island nad James Bond Island. As the sunsets towards the night, the loud music form all the pubs and clubs along Bangla Road can be heard and I got really excited.
So when it was about 9pm plus we went to walk through the infamous Bangla Road at Patong which is known for its  transgender women, cheap liquor, and sex shows. I do not encourage to bring your kids there.
So while we're walking through there is a few man holding up sign board and inviting us to watch ping pong shows, I kind of know what its about from my friends so 3 of us decided to go and watch as we were really curious hahaha. He led us to this room and it was quite packed mostly there were couples and group of guys so we felt kinda awkward as we were 3 ladies, we had to pay 300baht for a drink of beer and the entry was free. Soon the show started and my jaws drop the ladies there could literally shoot ping pong balls and darts from their Vajajayyy!!! This is seriously an once in a lifetime experience as we definitely would not watch it again LOL.

On the second day we joined a day tour to PHI PHI Island which cost us about RM130. The day was from 9am to about 3pm. We went snorkling on the island and we visited a few of them such as Maya Beach which was beautiful the water was so clear that you could see fishes in the shallow parts of the beach. Here are some photos:

It was a really enjoyable time we had at PHI PHI ISLAND we even met two guys from Singapore who were very friendly and funny which we coincidentally met again at night at Bangla Road!
Later during the evening we went to try Fried Ice Cream by one of the Patong beach front stalls it cost RM10 which was quite expensive but it was something new so YOLO! It tasted sooo goood, we got to choose to flavours from chocolate, oreos, banana, strawberry, blueberry, peach, mango, cherries  and more. The fried ice cream was different from the ones I've tried in Malaysia as this is not fried with oil instead they made the ice cream by putting it on a dried ice stove which immediately turn the milk cream and fruits into solid form! Then I also finally tried the one dish that I have been looking forward to in this trip which is the fried insects!!! We found it at the night market which is nearby our hotel about 5 mins walk and it taste so DELICIOUS! all my friends were gross out by it but not me hahaha..... I devoured it within minutes! There were 3 choices which were maggots, crickets and grasshopper.... and they were fried with salt and chilli spices which enhance the flavours yummmm....
To be continued...

There I was born on 29th of August 1993.  I'm Melissa and this year i'm 19 going 20; so yeah pretty bum that i'm no longer a teenager but what can i do right just gotta live it to the fullest! So basically i will turn 20 in August that means im becoming (*almost*) an adult, that should be interesting. I LOVE music and I listen to lots of different genre of music. However, my aboslute favourite artists are such as: Temper Trap, Blink 182, Travis Barker, Bon Iver, Mumford and Sons, Oasis,POD, Florence+ The Machine and U2. I also enjoy attending to music concerts and festivals in Malaysia and one of my things to do in my bucket list is to actually attend a concert abroad- Coachella,Oxegen,Lollapalooza and Glastonbury just to name a few.Apart from that, I sort have an addiction to shopping because I believe a girl can never have too many clothes or shoes! I admire women who are amazing at putting on make-up especially while their driving(definitely requires some mad skills) because I'm a rookie when it comes to makeup, im just getting into it and learning how to put them and I find it rather confusing but yet intriguing.Lol. I'm basically just like every other 20 yr olds  that is seeking for the adventure out there and I want to share my feelings and experiences with all of you.
