Phuket Adventure!

Phuket Paradise December 2014!
Yes I know that I'm really late in posting this post as its already the new year of 2015!However, the past few weeks Ive been feeling down and not in the greatest mood; but finally I''ve got out of that rut state and now i just want to share my experience in Phuket that we went from 19 to 22 December :)

This trip was planned in a really short notice because my friends and I were constantly indecisive on where should we go for a holiday after our final exam as we are going to graduate very soon. So one night we all just went on AirAsia and started to browse for holiday destinations at an affordable cost, we knew we wanted to go Thailand but we're not sure which part of the country. Finally after browsing through a few ,we chose with Phuket as I personally wanted to experience the nightlife of Bangla Road and to see whether it lives up to its name from the stories i hear from my friends.
After going through the dreaded FINALS WEEK .....Woohoooo!!! It's Phuket Adventure Time!

On the firstt day we landed in Phuket around 11am, we left our luggage in the hotel (Garden Phuket Hotel) and we started our adventure by walking to the famous Patong beach... its was so crowded by I kinda expected it as it was in the holiday period but I'm not complaining as there were quite a number hot guys to look at (mostly westerners which is a plus)! hehehe. We felt totally out of place as we're not appropriately dress for the beach lol.

Then, we went to have to lunch at one of the restaurants by the street near our hotel as we were starving by that time so we just simply chose a restaurant that was pretty much empty and not the ones which are packed. But to our dismay there's a reason why you should always to go packed restaurants instead of quite ones. This is because the restaurant that we went to was horrible, I saw a rat running across our table! GROSSS!
and the food were tasteless. We ordered pineapple rice, pad thai and tom yum soup.... the tom yum soup was the worst tom you i have ever tasted in my life it was literally just water with sum seafood in it , it was completely tasteless and cold. Plus the pad thai was pathetic the noodles were cold and soggy!
Our first Thai food experience was a huge disappointment but luckily it was only a one time thing as we learnt our lesson so we asked around a few locals about place to eat and many of them suggested  this place called NO.6 (we ate at this place majority of our time in Phuket as the food was amazing and very good prices however you have to queue at least 20minutes there as there was a long line constantly in that restaurant)

Bangla Road only open during the night from about 9pm onwards till 3 am so after lunch we all just walk around at Jungceylon Mall which is a new tourist shopping spot. I was so happy to finally found Boots Pharmacy as they do not have this store here in Malaysia and i was there on a mission to buy some Soap and Glory goods as it was really cheap there compare from the prices you have to pay in Malaysia. Later we went to planned for our day tours which include of Phi Phi Island nad James Bond Island. As the sunsets towards the night, the loud music form all the pubs and clubs along Bangla Road can be heard and I got really excited.
So when it was about 9pm plus we went to walk through the infamous Bangla Road at Patong which is known for its  transgender women, cheap liquor, and sex shows. I do not encourage to bring your kids there.
So while we're walking through there is a few man holding up sign board and inviting us to watch ping pong shows, I kind of know what its about from my friends so 3 of us decided to go and watch as we were really curious hahaha. He led us to this room and it was quite packed mostly there were couples and group of guys so we felt kinda awkward as we were 3 ladies, we had to pay 300baht for a drink of beer and the entry was free. Soon the show started and my jaws drop the ladies there could literally shoot ping pong balls and darts from their Vajajayyy!!! This is seriously an once in a lifetime experience as we definitely would not watch it again LOL.

On the second day we joined a day tour to PHI PHI Island which cost us about RM130. The day was from 9am to about 3pm. We went snorkling on the island and we visited a few of them such as Maya Beach which was beautiful the water was so clear that you could see fishes in the shallow parts of the beach. Here are some photos:

It was a really enjoyable time we had at PHI PHI ISLAND we even met two guys from Singapore who were very friendly and funny which we coincidentally met again at night at Bangla Road!
Later during the evening we went to try Fried Ice Cream by one of the Patong beach front stalls it cost RM10 which was quite expensive but it was something new so YOLO! It tasted sooo goood, we got to choose to flavours from chocolate, oreos, banana, strawberry, blueberry, peach, mango, cherries  and more. The fried ice cream was different from the ones I've tried in Malaysia as this is not fried with oil instead they made the ice cream by putting it on a dried ice stove which immediately turn the milk cream and fruits into solid form! Then I also finally tried the one dish that I have been looking forward to in this trip which is the fried insects!!! We found it at the night market which is nearby our hotel about 5 mins walk and it taste so DELICIOUS! all my friends were gross out by it but not me hahaha..... I devoured it within minutes! There were 3 choices which were maggots, crickets and grasshopper.... and they were fried with salt and chilli spices which enhance the flavours yummmm....
To be continued...
